Bad Angel Rule #127

Wear Sunscreen.

Baz Lurhmann was right.

Maggie's sunscreen of choice. The spray version is good for those hard-to-reach-by-yourself areas.

Maggie’s sunscreen of choice. The spray version is also good for those hard-to-reach-by-yourself areas.

Without question, sunscreen is essential running gear. Cloudy day, sunny day, whatever: when you’re on a jaunt — especially a long run where you might be outside for 2 or 3 hours — lather up with some SPF 30 or higher. Get your face, your neck, your ears, your arms, your chest, your legs. EVERYWHERE.

I strongly recommend Coppertone Sport. It stays on through the sweat and doesn’t make your hands greasy. I’ve never had an issue with it stinging my eyes, either (which could be because I also wear a hat).

I don’t care if you are a person who “tans easily” or “never burns,” put on some damn sunscreen. (Do I sound like your mother yet?)

Your current and future skin will thank you. — Mags
