Here is my rule for buying running shoes: Go with the most comfortable. That’s it.
Go to a running store (because they have the largest selection) and wear good socks. Try on lots of pairs, and walk around, maybe even jog a little. But don’t go in with the notion of wanting a minimalistic shoe, or a cure for your pronation (what is that?). In my opinion, your body and the way it works is already set in stone. You aren’t going to ‘fix’ it by wearing a special shoe.
Go with the most comfortable, make sure they aren’t too tight (your feet will swell when you run), and get outta there! Unless you are trying to break world records, you can skip right past the racing flats and just go with comfort. —Amie
